Part time PCB\/Electronics Assembler
Job Responsibilities:
Undertake day to day tasks for population and assembling electronic circuit boards, sub assemblies and mechanical items as required.
To conduct visual and electronic quality auditing of work produced.
To support the company’s growth through developing increasingly productive methods of assembly.
This is a term time position, with highly flexible working hours.
Hand soldering of various electronic components
Insertion of through hole (leaded) electronic components
Manual placement of Surface Mount Components (SMC) onto Pcb’s
Preparation of wire looms (strip, twist & tin)
Mechanical assembly of electronic circuits into external housings
General mechanical assembly
Printing of solder paste onto printed circuit boards (Pcb)
Operation of Reflow Oven
Testing of assemblies to simple test schedules
Supporting the Managing Director to develop highly productive assembly methods to win new business
Preferred Skills:
NVQ in performing manufacturing operations, or similar
Experience in electronic assembly
Excellent hand soldering skills
Able to concentrate on repetitive tasks
Able to maintain consistent standards of quality
Eye for detail
Knowledge of use of simple test equipment
Knowledge of solder paste printing
Knowledge of reflow ovens
Personal Attributes:
Good communication skills
Ability to work unsupervised and under own initiative
Excellent problem solving skills
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
